The annual San Javier International Jazz Festival..

San Javier, 2 Mar, 2010.  Alberto Nieto, the Festival Director of the annual San Javier International Jazz Festival presented the official poster for this years XIII edition at a press conference earlier today.  He also announced some of the artists that will be appearing at this Summers event.  The full festival programme will be announced in April. 

The festival dates are to be confirmed and are expected, as in previous years, to run from the end of June through to the end of July over a four week period.
 
The XIII edition is dedicated to the memory of singer / guitaist Willy Deville who performed at the festival in 2007 and died August 6th 2009.

In 1998 the San Javier International Jazz Festival was born as a result of the efforts of Alberto Nieto and a group of jazz fans, with the aid of the San Javier Town Hall through its Cultural Department. In less than a decade this festival has matured into one of the most important cultural events of the Murcia Region, with a great national and international resonance.

Office Hours
Winter: monday through friday from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm
Summer (starting June 15th): monday through friday from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm - saturdays from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm

The San Javier Festival Offices are located on the groundfloor of the San Javier Municipal Hall building. If you wish to arrive by automobile you may use the underground pay parking located by Municipal Hall Square, or you may also use the Municipal Auditorium parking lot.
