Salado Alto Fiesta Day 1 (25th)
The fiesta starts with the shots of rockets; well they start first thing in the morning and go on all day.
Most people will start to turn up at the bar Alegria del Salado from 7pm onward, don’t worry you have the whole night.
At 23.00 the Great Dancing Ball starts with Shakara providing the music, they´re great.
At 01.00 Sonia Armela and the Dancing Contest starts, well you have had 7 hours of drinking so far so you should be great! and yep there are prizes for the best dancing. (Please note the birdie song dance will not cut it here)
At 03.00 if still standing it’s the Great Chocolate served buy the commission of the festivals, if you love chocolate then you do NOT want to miss this. The Chocolate is real; yes real chocolate served up in a cup with a piece of cake. If you can’t stay up for the rest set you alarm to get up and have the Chocolate.
From 03.20 the bar Alegria del Salado will stay open as long as there are people drinking and having fun. However they do close at 6/7 to clear up and re stock for the next day. ( I found this out last year)
Salado Alto Fiesta Day 2 (26th)
It's "Hot Chocolate" with the lead singer of "Hot Chocolate"......Wow
Greg has been the front man for the last 17 years of one of the most successful bands in British pop history, his new album has recently entered the charts in Austria at number 10. Greg will be performing all the Hot Chocolate hits on the 26th as well as hits of some of his favourite artists.
Greg Bannis preformed on Televisions “Stars in their eye’s†back in 1994 with Hot Chocolate’s “You Sexy Thingâ€. Greg got to hear that the group were looking for a new singer and he applied for the job. The band were reluctant at first but when they got together.. well the rest is history.
Greg will be live on stage at the Salado Alto Fiesta at 1am on the 26th September, don’t miss this opportunity to see the front man of one of the most successful bands in British pop history.
Yep you guessed it, more rockets throughout most of the day, just to remind you that you have another night of fun coming up!
Again most people will start to turn up at the bar Alegria del Salado from 7pm onward; however you will find the car park next to the bar has been turned into a restaurant. The bar Alagria del Salado offers the best section of Spanish Tapas around, just ask the waiter to bring you the same as the Spanish people on the next table are having, you will not go wrong. BUT you will need to book your table at least a week before.
20:00H. Great street parade with the band “Charanga Bocana†of Fortuna.
21:00H. Floral offering and holy mass led by D. Juan MatÃas, parish priest of Abanilla, in honour of our patron saint Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.
23:30H. Grand Dancing ball featuring the group “Amanecerâ€.

Salado Alto Fiesta Day 3 (27th)
Ok its Sunday, and you have made it!
Sunday is the Kids day and is organised by the “Cheerleaders†of the council of Abanilla.
From 18.30H there are lots of games for the kids to take part in, as well as horse and kart rides, you will also get free refreshment (beer) as well.
However in the evening is were the fun really starts. There is a Disco with…... the biggest foam machine you have ever seen!, believe me this thing fills the car park up with foam, so put on something you don’t mind getting wrecked.
