Hot Chocolate in the afternoon?

His performance covered the hits of the band...

The lead singer of Hot Chocolate, Gregg Banis appeared at El Paraiso Restaurant on the afternoon of Saturday the 12th of June for the first JFM event of the year.

This gig was booked months ago but was moved from the evening to the afternoon due to the fact that a draw in South Africa meant there was some game of football was on later in the evening so this may have affected some people’s decision to attend. To those that missed the gig and chose the football; we hope you enjoyed you 1-1 draw.

Those that attended will tell you that not only did you miss great food but the chance to see a world class artist in “plein form”

The afternoon started lunch and then an interview with Gregg where he told of how he became the front man of one of the most successful bands in British pop history, his influences and some of the weirder things that have happened to him since like his new album that recently entered the charts in Austria at number 10.

His performance covered the hits of the band he has fronted for the last 17 years and the hits of some of his favourite artists. This is the first time I have seen a whole room dancing to the last two numbers at an afternoon gig, showing the talent of a true artists who knows how to work a room.

Gregg will be back in Spain to perform at another JFM gig the last weekend in September at the Salado Alto Festival so, book it in now.
